What is Quadball?
Compelling chaos. Inclusive sport. Community.
Quadball combines the strategy of basketball and soccer, with the basic skills of handball, dodgeball, tag, and flag football to create something entirely new. The sport originated in 2005 and has gone through a lot of transformation into what you see today. The sport is played in over 40 countries and continues to grow!
While the best way to truly learn how to play quadball is to join a practice for free, you can also learn the basics here.
The Edmonton Quadball Association wants everyone to have fun playing quadball; that’s why we have a variety of leagues to fit your sport needs. Rec league provides a chill space with 0 expectations. Come play, come chat, come check us out. Competitive provides a more intense sport space for those who want to pursue fitness and advance their quadball skills. There is no skill level required for either, but the attitude for each league is different. Players can participate in one or both to meet their sports needs.
The International Quadball Association coordinates Quadball events around the world including the World Cup, Pan-American Games, European Games, and Oceania-Asian Games. You can find more information about international quadball on the IQA website.
